History
A beautiful orange beefsteak preserved by our friend Darrell Kellogg, a railroad supervisor from Redford, Michigan. (rareseeds.com)
The tomato was grown by Darrell Kellogg of Redford, Michigan, from whom it gets its name. Darrell gave the seeds to Bill Minkey of Darien, Wisconsin who made them available through the Seed Savers Exchange Yearbook in 1993. Its origins trace back to West Virginia.
